About Al Aseel Greenacre

Al Aseel Greenacre is the original. Opened in 2002, this is the restaurant that started it all - a 100-seat neighbourhood dining room in the heart of Greenacre that grew into one of Sydney's most beloved Lebanese restaurant groups. Over two decades on, the Greenacre flagship remains the soul of the Al Aseel brand. The fit-out has been updated over the years, but the energy is the same: warm, bustling, and completely focused on the food.

Whether you're a Greenacre local who has been coming here for years, or a first-timer making the pilgrimage to the original, the experience is the same: generous portions, hyper-fresh ingredients, and service that hums even when the dining room is packed. Book ahead on weekends - the energy is electric, but tables go fast.

What to Order

When you sit down at Greenacre, you are greeted with complimentary Lebanese bread, fresh tomatoes, olives, and pickles - the way it has always been done here. Start with the cold mezza: the Hommos with mincemeat and pine nuts is a Greenacre signature, the Baba Ghanouj is smoky perfection, and the freshly fried Falafel and Kibbeh are non-negotiable. From the grill, the Lemon & Garlic Chicken and the Mixed Grill Platters (Kafta, Shish Tawook, Laham Mishwe) are the classics that built the Al Aseel reputation. And the Toum - the famous fluffy garlic dip that gained its cult following right here at Greenacre - must accompany every single piece of charcoal meat you order. Greenacre also serves a dedicated breakfast menu, making it the perfect spot for a Lebanese breakfast before the day begins.
